I've got a favorite new song right now as a lot has happened this past week.
First, the good stuff.
We finally closed on our house after waiting 7 months. God really provided for us during this time in allowing us to move into the house we were trying to buy. This allowed us to get settled in sooner than later, and prevented us from being vagabonds or mooching off friends. We are grateful that the process took as long as it did because we were able to drop our offer almost $20,000 and interest rates were at there very lowest when we locked it in a few weeks back. Our closing costs weren't near as high as we budgeted so we are so thankful for God's financial blessing as far as our house goes and Him being in control of our finances every day!
Kylie and I saw this rainbow this weekend as we were leaving our neighborhood. I thought it was the perfect background with our street sign.
Now the bad.
Last Tuesday the news spread like wildfire amongst the fighter community that an F22 had lost communication, did not return to base, and ultimately a wives worst nightmare and greatest fear came true as her husband did not eject out of his jet and died in the crash up in Alaska. Capt. Haney left behind his wife and 2 little girls. My heart breaks for this family and I'm reminded of another friend of ours who died a few years ago in a similar accident as his F15 went down in the ocean. What Jonathan does is dangerous and the girls and I are not guaranteed his safe return. I pray for him whenever he flies, but things happen that are out of anyones control.
Its a reminder that
Thank you to all who serve and fight for
If you could keep this family in your prayers, that would be awesome. If you are willing to go further, you can click here and specify "For Haney Children" if you wish to make a donation.
The other bad.
My aunt was diagnosed with uterine cancer. She's just in the beginning stages of finding things out, but the hope is that it hasn't spread, that it can be treated without chemo and hopefully a hysterectomy will heal her. My aunt has been through a lot and is a strong woman who will fight through this. If you could keep her as well as my uncle, my two cousins and their families in prayer, that would be awesome too. I look forward to seeing them on Thanksgiving in a few days and be reminded again that family is precious...life is precious.
So back to my favorite song playing on the radio right now
"No Matter What" by Kerrie Roberts.
I’m running back to your promises one more time,
Lord that’s all I can hold on to,
I gotta say this has taken me by surprise, but nothing surprises you.
Before a heartache can ever touch my life, it has to go through Your hands,
and even though I, keep asking why, I keep asking why.
No matter what, I’m gonna love You, no matter what I’m gonna need You,
No matter what, I’m gonna love You, no matter what I’m gonna need You,
I know that You can find a way to keep me from the pain but if not,if not,
I’ll trust you, no matter what, no matter what.
When I’m stuck in this nothing-ness by myself, I’m just sitting in silence,
When I’m stuck in this nothing-ness by myself, I’m just sitting in silence,
there’s no way I can make it without Your help, I wont even try it.
I know You have Your reasons for everything, so I will keep believing,
whatever I might be feeling, God you are my hope, and you'll be my strength.
No matter what, I’m gonna love You, no matter what I’m gonna need You,
I know that You can find a way to keep me from the pain but if not,if not,
I’ll trust you, no matter what, no matter what.
Anything I don’t have You can give it to me, but it’s ok if You don’t,
I’m not here for those things, the touch of Your love is enough on its own,
no matter what I still love You and I’m gonna need You.
No matter what I’m gonna love you, no matter what I’m gonna need you,
No matter what I’m gonna love you, no matter what I’m gonna need you,
I know that You can find a way to keep me from the pain but if not, if not, I’ll trust You,
I know that You can find a way to keep me from the pain, but if not, if not, I’ll trust you,
no matter what no matter what no matter no matter what.

Beautiful post, M.
